Ginkgo biloba 'Chi Chi'

Chi Chi Maidenhair Tree (aka Ginkgo b. 'Tschi-Tschi', possibly Ginkgo b. 'Tit') is a dwarf with dense branching, forming a compact plant. Its name refers to the corky bark protrusions that form usually after 10 years which are believed to be clusters of dormant buds that sometimes will sprout leaves. Ginkgo biloba 'Chase Manhattan'

A dwarf sized ginkgo, very slow growing. It has dark green leaves that are often cupped upright and produces yellow-green fruit. It is an excellent addition for rock gardens.

Ginkgo biloba 'Fastigiata Blagon'

With its columnar growth habit, Blagon can grow up to 20m high X 2m wide. Fan-shaped foliage, typical of the Ginkgo genus, turn a brilliant golden-yellow in the fall. Blagon is perfect planted next to a street, on a roof garden, or as a specimen piece in someone's yard.

Maidenhair Tree - its fossils have been found in deposits hundreds of millions of years old - a true survivor!! Thought to be extinct, but re-discovered around 1700 AD in Asia (by a Dutchman, who was really from Germany), in Japan, where it had "blown over" from China - we're still sorting out the details!) A pyramidal tree when young changing to a wide spreading tree with age. Small, green, distinctive fan-shaped leaves turn a golden-yellow in fall. Male and female tree needed to produce nut-like fruit. Only male trees only should be used as street trees because female trees produce fruit which is messy, fleshy and foul-smelling! Ginkgo biloba 'Mariken'
