Taxodium ascendens 'Nutans'

Nodding Pond Cypress has nodding tips on shorther branchlets (5-10cm long) with thinner (than T. distichum) awl-shaped (pointed) needles, closely pressed against stem (deciduous branchlets drop in fall). Egg round cones (3cm diameter) change from green to brown. Pond cypress is narrower and hardier than swamp/bald cypress. Great near water

Taxodium distichum 'Cascade Falls'

Cascade Falls is a spectacular, pendulous Swamp Cypress. May be staked to desired height. The branches, covered with soft, light green needles, sweep down to the ground like a waterfall in spring! Needles darken to sage green before turning orange and brown in fall. Without staking it will become a groundcover. Introduction from New Zealand.

Taxodium distichum

Swamp or Bald Cypress is a deciduous conifer ("bald" cypress) native to the swamps of SE North America. Bright, yellow-green, feathery soft spring foliage turns sage green in summer, and an attractive copper/reddish-brown in fall before the "needles" drop. Rounded green cones (3cm) mature. Suitable for a wide range of soil conditions, from very wet, to dry and well drained acid soils. In swampy soils, they will develop "knees" on the roots, which are hollow outgrowths. These are either respiratory organs or for stability in wet soils.

Taxodium distichum 'Novum Pendulum'

Novum Pendulum is a weeping Bald Cypress with an upright, narrow form. Stake leader for height. Graceful cascading branches with light-green soft needles in spring, turning reddish-brown in fall. Attractive winter form.

Taxodium distichum 'Peve Minaret'

Peve Minaret Swamp Cypress has fern-like foliage on densely branched, dwarf upright (spire) form. Young branches resemble minarets arranged around the columnar form of the tree. A beautiful specimen for the small garden!

Taxodium distichum 'Peve Yellow'

Peve Yellow Swamp Cypress' delicate foliage is a stunning soft-yellow in summer (burn resistant) and changes to reddish-orange in fall. Starts with an irregular branch structure at a young age changing to beautiful open branching later. A four season interest tree!

Taxodium distichum 'Shawnee Brave'

Shawnee Brave Swamp Cypress is a majestic tree with a fuller, more upright form than the species. Soft light green needles in spring will turn coppery-brown in fall

Taxodium distichum 'Secrest'

Secrest Swamp Cypress is a disc-like witch's broom. Attractive horizontal branching shows of the new bright green shoots. Slow growing, low spreading habit with a flat top. Specimen Trees has top-grafted Secrest on a 2 foot standard, creating a beautiful miniature tree form..
