Ilex aquifolium 'Ferox'
Hedgehog Holly has smaller leaves than the species and has "nasty" spines on both the leaf margins and the leaf surface!

Ilex crenata 'Convexa'
Japanese Holly is a slow-growing compact shrub, with glossy, green convex leaves. Free-fruiting with small, shiny black berries. Takes pruning very well and is ideal for hedging.

Ilex crenata "Sky Pencil"
Sky Pencil Japanese holly is known for its upright, columnar shape, and tight, dense foliage. Great for a more "sophisticated" look when hedging or screening. Produces small purple berries in the fall when a male is around to cross polinate with.

Sky Sentry (aka Sky Pencil) Japanese Holly. A columnar holly great as a vertical accent in narrow spaces. Also suitable in container or as a hedge plant. No pruning needed to maintain its shape!

Blue Princess Blue Holly is considered one of the best and one of the hardiest of the hollies. Excellent broad, dense form with beautiful blue-green glossy, spiny foliage & purplish stems. Developed from a hybrid of Ilex aquifolium and a species from Northern Japan. A later introduction than Blue Boy. Can grow to 4.5m tall, easy to prune. Blue Boy Blue Holly is one of the first meserve hollies on the market (1964). A hybrid of ilex aquifolium (English holly) and a species from northern Japan. A dense, bushy shrub that can grow over 2.5m tall and has beautiful blue-green foliage with purplish stems. Blue Boy is the male variety-pollinator for Blue Girl holly. Good hedging alternative.
