A beautiful choice for a weeping specimen tree in the landscape. Does well in damp soil. Full sun. Note: Chamaecyparis nootkatensis is a large family of evergreens, which vary greatly in physical characteristics. Recent DNA research has prompted the introduction of a new a species listed by two different names: Xanthocyparis nootkatensis and Callitropsis nootkatensis. We will continue to use the name Chamaecyparis nootkatensis until a new name is more widely accepted in the trade.
