Abiqua Drinking Gourd has blue-green foliage that curves up to form a "cup", sometimes 7.5+cm deep! Slugs don't like this plant much.
Hosta 'Blue Mammoth'
Plantain Lily Blue Mammoth is one of the largest Blue Hosta varieties. The plant will mature at 1.2-1.5m across! The powdery-blue leaves are heavily quilted (deeply veined). Flowers are almost white and appear in summer. This plant is slug resistant. Note: Bright light or sun exposure tends to fade the deep blue colour of blue hostas to green.
Hosta fortunei 'Gold Standard'
Gold Standard Plantain Lily's leaves emerge green in spring and will soon turn yellow, leaving a green margin. The centre will change to almost white by fall. It needs a few hours of sun per day to get the best colouring. Lavender flowers in July.

Hosta sieboldiana 'Elegans'
A Plantain Lily with large blue-green leaves that are just under 30cm (1') wide, and over 30cm (1') long, heart-shaped, thick textured and heavily corrugated. Flower spikes can be 90cm (3') tall with white flowers tinged violet. Slow to establish.

Plantain Lily (aka Hosta undulata 'Variegata') with wavy, twisted green oval foliage with feathery creamy-white streaks in the middle and a rippled margin. Some morning sun will intensify colours.
